Water in the marathwada dam less than last year

Aurangabad: While parts of Maharashtra Barat and Conkan face floods due to heavy rains, the surface of the water in various Dams the Marathwada region has dipped compared to this time, according to the department of irrigation.
The total water storage capacity of a total of 45 large reservoirs in this region is 4,505.36 million cubic meters (MCM).
On Monday, the water stored in it was 1,991.22 mcm, or 44.2 percent compared to 47.01 percent on July 26, 2020, a report from the irrigation department.
Furthermore, said 81 medium reservoirs in the Marathwada region had 247.84 mcm water on Monday due to total storage capacity of 1,056.42 mcm.
Their storage until now is 23.46 percent compared to 30.19 percent last year, the report said.
In addition, 838 small reservoirs have water 212.15 MCM compared to the total storage capacity of 1,810.49 mcm.
They filled up to 11.72 percent of the total storage capacity that opposed 13.03 percent last year.
As on Monday, Jayakwadi Dam was filled up to 35.82 percent of its total storage capacity, Majalgaon-31.7 percent, yel-69.57 percent, and these figures were lower than last year, the report said, adding that Sina Kolegaon Dam (Osmanabad) does not have storage on Monday.
However, lower Dudhna Dam was filled with 82.79 percent of total capacity, lower-56.6 percent, 89.3 percent lower, siddheshwar-76.9 percent and these numbers were higher than the year then.
The Manjara Dam, who supplied water to the city, was fulfilled up to 22.36 percent of his capacity, while the storage today last year was zero, the report said.
