Bhubaneswar: President of RAM Nath Kovind on Monday presented the ATI Vishisht Seva (AVSM) medal to Air Vice Marshal (now water marshal) Dilip Kumar Patnaik for its outstanding service.
He had this honor at the Investment defense ceremony – I was held at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Monday.
Odisha was born patnik, a fighter pilot, who assumed costs as an air official of the East Air Force Air Force (IAF) on October 3, was the first IAF Odia official who got this prestigious position.

Patnaik was awarded Vayu Sena Medal before because of his extraordinary service for his work.
He did a bomb attack on a laser night guide at Bukit Tiger in June 1999 during the Cargil War.
Without thinking about his personal safety, he had launched an attack on the enemy camp and helped the power of land to catch Hill Tiger.
Professionalism and careful planning for carrying out missions under hostile conditions helping the state have an advantage over enemy position during the Cargil War.
He was also involved in Balakot’s operation.
These fighters fighters were assigned to the IAF fighting stream on June 8, 1984.
He had more than 2,500 hours of flying experience on various types of aircraft including MIG 21 and Mirage 2000.
Before heading to the East air command, he was the senior air staff officer at headquarters, Central air command.
These officers have tried to prove their courage in a different important position such as the command of the frontline fighters and air warfare commanders.

The Chairman of the Minister of Naveen Patnaik has congratulated Patnik for taking over as an air officer who was ordered to the head of the East Air Command.
