Water reaches the ‘warning’ sign on the Godavari River

Nanded: The water level in the Godavari River has reached “Alert” Mark in the midst of heavy rainfall in the Marathwada region, and the phenomenon has occurred after almost 15 years, the PWD Minister Ashok Chavan said on Thursday.
Chavan, who is also the Guardian District of the District, took a stock of situations arising from heavy rainfall in the region.
Heavy rain has destroyed the Marathwada region for the past few days, with 31 people died in accidents related to rain in a week, where seven deaths occurred in Nanded.
Speaking to reporters, said Chavan, “The water has reached a ‘vigilant’ sign on the Godavari River.
This phenomenon is being seen after 15 years.

“Minister held a meeting with officials from the local administration and visited the Godavari River.
People whose homes are flooded because heavy rains will get help, said Chavan, added that he also took stock of losses in the agricultural and infrastructure sectors in the district.
According to officials, Nanded has received 962.7 mm rain so far this monsoon, which is 118 percent of average annual rainfall.
