Prasagraj: Water supplied to 28 sites in the four areas of Sangam City are found lower because they do not have enough chlorine amounts and other elements that are contrary to the norms set, during the joint survey conducted by the Ministry of Health and Jalkal recently this.

Officials who conducted a survey informed that water samples were collected between May 12 and May 31 from several city areas and sent to laboratories for testing.

The Ministry of Health tests water quality to various parameters set after collecting samples.
For example, the chlorine level at the water storage location must be 0.8 ppm, while the level on the site where the water has been supplied must be 0.2ppm.
If the number of chlorine is found less than the optimal level, water is considered not in accordance with the consumption brand, the official said.

Baranwal said that there were various reasons behind water not to go to the target.
This includes leakage in water pipes, biological contaminants and the presence of bacteria.
“In such a scenario, in addition to repairing water pipes to cover leaks, sodium hypochlorite solutions are often used to make water safe to drink,” he said.
