Water supply struck Gurgaon due to blackouts in the basi plant

Gurgaon: The water supply has been disturbed in several parts of the city after heavy rain regarding the power supply to a water processing plant.
Some areas, including DLF-1, 2, 3, sector 15, 17, 31, 38, 45 and 46, Sukhrali village, new colonies and udyog vihar, have been affected.
Officials from the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) said supply had been influenced because there was no electricity at the basi water treatment plant from 8am on Monday and only returned around 10:30.
The next day, the factory runs with a capacity of 50% between 6:00 on Tuesday to around 3:30 p.m.
because it does not receive an adequate power supply.
“In the past 24 hours, the Basai factory has been operating for about eight hours, because the water supply has been influenced in several parts of the city.
We face a frequent power outage on Tuesday and the factory runs at a capacity of 50% because we do not get the power needed.
Alternatively, we get the power supply from another feeder.
Even though the water supply has been continued now, it will take the time to streamline the distribution of backlog water supply, “said GMDA executive engineer, Abhinav Verma.
When contacted, a senior DHBVN official said the power supply was closed in the 10A sector as a precautionary measure due to heavy puddles, while there was an error in the cable in Daultabad.
These two substations are supplying power to the basi factory.
“We have made alternative settings.
The power supply to the basin processing plant is on the double circuit from the 10A sector and the Daultabad substation,” the official said.
Residents, meanwhile, alleged that they had received erratic water supply for the past 15-20 days, forcing them to rely on private water tankers.
Naveen Ranger, the organizer of the DLF-3 population forum, said: “We have gotten almost 15 minutes every day.
A few days there is no water at all.” Ranghunandan Jolly, other DLF-3 residents, said: “The water supply has been irregularly which causes a lot of discomfort and we are forced to depend on private water tankers to get water for their daily needs.
” Asked about the erratic reports of water supply, Chief Engineer GMDA Pradeep Kumar said he had spoken with the main engineer of DHBVN to recover the power supply to the earliest basi plants.
“Also, the supply was closed for 24 hours for a pipe shift near the basi on July 8, because where the fluent water distribution flow was disrupted.
This will soon be simplified.
If not, there is no shortage of water supply.
I will instruct the officials concerned to see the problem This.
