Gurgaon: A team of officials from the Ministry of Health visited SS Coralwood in sector 84 on Saturday after several residents complained of illness allegedly due to contamination in drinking water.
Officials collect water samples for testing and analysis.
In addition, they established a medical camp in the community where around 55 residents were played during the day.
They complained of diarrhea and vomiting and were given medicines.
According to the Ministry of Health, three patients had been treated at a private hospital.
They include a three-year-old girl, two senior citizens – aged 66 and 73 years.
Doctors have suggested two people visiting hospitals for further investigation.
Also, 12 blood slides have been taken from fever patients.
“A total of 180 halogen tablets have been given to RWA,” said a senior health official.
Now, the district government is awaiting test results to take more action on this issue.
Yash Garg, Deputy Commissioner Gurgaon, said: “After receiving information on Friday, I asked the Ministry of Health to send a team to the public and assess the situation.
The department has sent an initial report but we are waiting for the test results.” Residents suspect that due to the lack of sewerage tissue , Unprocessed water flows openly perk into the ground, may pollute water or other water sources in the housing complex.
