‘Waterlogged 9A Ground Breeding sector for mosquitoes’

Gurgaon: Residents of Sector 9A are afraid of the breakdown of the disease transmitted through a vector because the area is still flooding after rain last week.
Residents said that the colony was immersed in rainwater on July 18-19 when the city witnessed heavy rain.
However, even after a week, civil authorities did not pay attention to their problems and nothing was done to clean the flood water.
They said rainwater was mixed with waste and had stagnated in various locations in the colony which emitted a foul odor and became a breeding place for mosquitoes and other insects.
Col (retd) Balwada Hospital, one of the residents, said, “The sector park is filled with mixed water consisting of waste water and rainwater from 6 inches to 2 feet which cause serious damage to grass, plants and trees that weaken them .
last year too, 14 mature trees were badly damaged due to water stagnation.
“Ashish Sati, another resident, said,” If the situation continues like this, we worry about the population will be infected with vector-borne diseases.
” Residents alleged that the contractor GMDA had damaged the Master Master of Stormwater while carrying out elevant construction and there was no supply of water outlets which were confirmed by the authorities before the monsun.
“Our area is lowland and every time there is rain, but what is more terrible is the attitude of the authority of the citizenship of our problems,” said Suraj Lalit Bhola, Secretary General of Rwa.
Meanwhile, the commissioner with Pradeep Ahlaked said that they had decided to let the rain absorbed into the ground to recharge the groundwater table.
“I have instructed sanitation staff to drive fumigation in the area,” he said.
