Waterlogging in Medanta Road will be resolved by the next Monsoon?

Gurgaon: intense waterlogging, repetitive Monsun creatures along Jalan Medanta, can be completed next year with the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) who plans to put a stormwater line in stretching rainwater.
Medanta Road, also called Chakawar Singh Road, is one of the more important arterial roads in the city where traffic from Rajiv Chowk, Baktawa Chowk, Subhash Chowk, Huda City Center, Sohna Road and Mayfield Gardens combine.
However, he appeared as one of the most susceptible stretches of waterlogging, with underlined underpasses built in the area just worsening the problem.
Every heavy rainfall spell leaving the area is flooded and underpasses are often closed due to intense floods.
It is located in the lowland area, GMDA officials said that the stretch was also vulnerable to Waterlogging as the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), while building an underpass in the direction of Medanta Hospital, not shifting the master drain correctly.
“The stretch of National Highway 8 (NH8) near the road does not have all kinds of drainage on the outside side when disposal flows along the middle.
As a result, the run-off surface of the toll road flows to Jalan Medanta, which is lying low.
In addition, water from the side Jharsa also flowed there, the more encouraging the area, “said a senior GMDA official.
“In addition, when NHAI builds underpasses in the area, the Master Drain does not shift or properly connected.
As a result, water cannot flow properly and the pump must be installed to manage rainwater.
However, the pump usually consists of average capacity and they.
Cannot drain water if the rainfall is heavier, “added the official.
Waterlogging problems on Jalan Medanta and the need to overcome them have emerged for discussion at the Core Planning Cell Meeting (BPK) from GMDA last month.
The two plans discussed: the first is to put a stormwater line with a reinforced concrete pipe of 1,800 mm along the wall of the Lal Tau Devi Stadium, and the second, to put it along the stretch of walk from the stadium gate in Medanta Road to Sohna Road.
The first plan needed to put a 660 meter long line with a cost of Rs 2.68 Crore, while the latter involves a long line of 470 meters with a cost of Rs 2 Crore.
“The Mr.
has decided to adopt the second plan and put the Stormwater line from the stadium gate in Medanta Road to the Sohna Road.
There are several obstacles on the route written in the first plan in the form of trees, electric poles and underground cables.
This will also involve through SOHNA pathway that crosses to connect the sewer to the master drain, all of which will make work far more complicated.
The second option only involves internal roads, so it will be less difficult.
We will connect the Stormwater drain to the Master Drain to Jalan Sohna which will allow water to flow with Easy, “officially added.
GMDA is preparing for project estimates, which is likely to be ready at the end of September.
“We hope that with the next monsoon, this stormwater line will be arranged,” the official said.
