Ian Watmore has left his role as Chair of the British and Wales Cricket Agency (ECB) with a shared approval after 13 months responsible, it was announced on Thursday.
Watmore was appointed September 2020 in a five-year term, replacing Colin Graves.
Deputy Chairman Barry O’Brien will take over as a temporary seat.
“That was with regret that I resigned as the ECB chairman, but I beat my own welfare and the game I loved,” Watmore said.
“I was appointed to the post in the pre-pandemic era, but Covid meant his role and demands on time dramatically different from all our original expectations, who had taken personal victims to me.
