WB: 1 MP, 6 MLA is the KMC board

Kolkata: With six MLA and one MP was re-elected as a member of the Corporation Corporation Kolkata Municipal, Trinamool Congress now faces the toughest challenge – the establishment of a new KMC board.
CM Mamata Banerjee is likely to meet Board members on December 23 to set a choice.
Most believed the party weighed on the prospect of bringing some new faces as a member of the major-in-counl (MMIC).
The KMC results on Monday are not surprising for heavyweight from the powerful party who not only won easily but set a new benchmark.
This heavyweight includes all MMICs that oppose selection, MP and six MLA.
According to people in parties, this margin and the ease of victory will play a major role in determining the new mayor on the Board which is expected to be stated in the next 48 hours.
“The results may be a previous conclusion, but still there might be a surprise element when the responsibility will soon be moved for them,” said the person in Trinamool.
The deputy mayor who came out at Ghosh, also Cossipore-Belgacchia MLA, was won by more than 10,750 votes.
Chairman of Mala Roy, whose 88 ward has fewer voters, is also won by a convincing margin.
“It feels extraordinarily re-elected.
I know as a civil representative, my work hasn’t ended.
In handling the Covid crisis in the city.
“I have breastfeeded the ward 88 as a board member more than two decades.
When I was chosen as a candidate for KMC polls, I knew people would give me another opportunity to serve them.
I have many plans that I need to fulfill in five years to A front for city repairs and citizens.

Among the other winners is Rashbehari MLA and South Kolkata District Trinamool Congress President Debasish Kumar, who won from Ward 85 by more than 10,000 votes.
Jadavpur Mla Debabrata Majumdar won with more than 9,000 votes.
“I am happy that the ward selector I have chosen me for another term .
I will continue to work for residents in whatever form I want to do, “Kumar said.
“It doesn’t need to be said that I feel happy after watching today’s results.
People never reject me every time I oppose tollygunge-jadavpur belt.
I will definitely try to serve them with additional responsibilities in the coming years,” he said.
Among other heavyweight who managed to secure a big victory was MMICs who came out Tarak Singh and Shamsari and a number of senior leaders and members of the party’s youth brigade – some of which could be appointed in the new major council when formed afterwards took an oath by representatives.
“This time we can expect some elements of surprise before a new mayor formed.
Expect some new faces,” said a Trinamool leader from South Kolkata.
