New Delhi: The CBI has arrested seven people on Sunday in connection with the murder case in Cooch Behar related to violence after the poll in West Bengal, officials said.
The victim’s family, Hardhan Roy, had alleged that one Arjun Munda took him to the Rajaghora River on May 3 where he was found in blood, they said.
He was taken to the hospital where he died during treatment, according to FIR.
The CBI has arrested four people on Saturday in connection with other murder cases in Tufangj reported during violence.
Allegedly on May 4, supporters of TMC Sahinur Ahmed and prosnity were having dinner when four BJP supporters joined them.
After dinner, Sahelinur and Process were attacked resulting in severe injury.
They were dragged into the nearest cornfield and went there.
Cosenjar Congratulations but Sahinur was found dead, said FIR.
The CBI has taken over the instructions from the five judges from the Calcutta High Court which has been entrusted to the investigation body alleged murder and rape incident reported during violence after the poll in West Bengal, they said.
The high court direction came after the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) committee submitted a report on the domestic violence that followed the declaration of the results of the assembly on May 2 where the Congress of Trinamool LED Mamata was condescending BJP very bitterly.
