The letter: acting on a tip-off, a team from the Puna Police Station arrested a 31-year-old man from Saroli Patia and won the country-made gun, five live cartridges and RS 1.48 lakh cash.
During the primary interrogation, the police knew that the person who was arrested, was aka Alas Agrawal, worked as a bartender in West Bengal and had stolen money from the bar.
Agrawal is a resident of Road Prafful Chowki in Uttarpara from Hooghly District.
The team has won a gun worth Rs 10,000, five live cartridges worth Rs 250, three cellphones worth Rs 15,500 and Rs 1.48 lakh cash.
Agrawal worked as a bartender in Uluberia in West Bengal and allegedly stole two lakh hospitals from work.
Details of police cross-checked and found that violations of theft were registered at the Uluberian police station.
He will soon be handed over to the WB police.
