WB Boy gets 100 percentiles, ranks 18th in Jee Mains

Kolkata: Fever, tuberculosis and surgery cannot hinder the success of the mandal bratin.
Mandal on Wednesday appeared as the only student from Bengal among 44 candidates throughout the country to score 100 percent percent in Jee (mains).
The boy from Shantipur in Nadia has an all-india rating from 18 years.
Bratin, who is third in the Jee country, has secured a bed at IISC, Bangalore, but he still wants to appear to Jee (continued) to take a shot at IIT Delhi.
Bratin’s parents, Biplab Mandal and Grijoli Khan, both middle school physics teachers, said he was very determined to do well in the test that he had limited himself to a room for most of the past half a year.
“He didn’t leave the house last year and it caused severe vitamin-D deficiency.
This, in turn, caused tuberculosis.
Bratin must undergo surgery for treatment,” his father said.
Bratin, which is now recovering after its operations, is still under treatment.
When he appeared for Bengal Jee, he was a high fever, but he was third.
Bratin has won the Guild Kishore Vaigyanik Protection of Yojana (KVPY) to study the five-year post-graduate course integrated in IISC Bangalore.
“My goal is to study the core science subjects and then, enter the research.
Engineering is not my first preference.
I want to appear for Jee (continued) because I want to take the opportunity for IIT Delhi.
There too, I want to study the subjects Core, “he said.
Bratin said he owed his love for partial science to his parents, both physics teachers.
His father said, “We have never pressed it for the choice of the subject.
We believe he must pursue his dream.” But Shantipur City Middle School students were not quite happy with his HS sign, where he scored 470 out of 500.
He applied for a revision.
“After a correction, it increased to 484 but it was still a few figures lacking hope,”.
His father said.
Fitjee Kolkata Head Debdeep Banerjee said, “All-India Rank 18 should be praised for the State Council students.
That means if someone is focused on a competitive exam, he can do it well.”
