Kolkata: Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee repeated his request for the probe monitored by the Supreme Court into and meeting all parties on Pegasus’s problems after meeting PM Narendra Modi in New Delhi Residence last on Tuesday.
“All conversations with PM cannot be published,” Banerjee told reporters when asked if he had broken the Pegasus problem during a 37 minute meeting with Modi.
But he wants PM to hold all parties about this problem and order the probe “monitored by the Supreme Court”, he added.
Banerjee, stood at the gate of the official residence of PM participating in his first meeting with Modi after the Bengal Kudal poll, also announced he would have “Chai Pe Charcha” with Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday.
“Soniaji has invited me to drink tea (tomorrow),” he said.
“Ummeed Nahi Chhorna Chahiye (someone should not lose hope),” Banerjee said when asked about his efforts to weave the opposition to unite against BJP.
The opposition association will form itself, he said when asked if he would lead the opposition to unite.
“The country will lead the opposition.
I want to be a good follower,” he added.
“We must first plan and unite all the same-minded parties,” Banerjee said, referring to the upcoming polls in Uttar Pradesh, Tripura and Punjab.
“I met old friends and remembered our past and wanted a vision for the future,” he added.

“Hum Dekhenge (we will look into it),” is how modi answered, he said, adding that he appeared in the “good mood”.
“I have asked for a vaccine to be given to us proportional to the country’s population.
I have no problem with other countries get a vaccine but there is no reason behind countries that are less populated get more vaccines,” Banerjee said.
Bengal has 7.3 crore 18-plus people (according to the selection roll); 2.8 Crore has received at least one Jab.
Banerjee had written three letters to Modi, looking for 14 crore vaccines, after being sworn in as cm for the third time in May 5.
Prevention problems that Pending Bypolls did not look for the meeting with PM, said Banerjee.
But he wants them to be held in the “specified time”, he told the media.
The positive level “(covid) is 33% when a Bengal poll is held.
About 1% now,” he said.
Banerjee himself might seek the election of Bhowanipore to enter the State Assembly, Trinamool has indicated.
“I have never been to Delhi in the past two years.
Kalaikunda is not a meeting (meeting one to one PM-cm),” said Banerjee, referring to a controversial “short interaction” on May 28 after the flare-up-center-center-center happened to the former Secretary of Head of State Awaran Bandyopadhyay.
“Heaven and the constitutional protocol to fulfill PM (after elections),” Banerjee said.
Bengal CM said he had an appointment with President of Ram Nath Kovind on Thursday but had to miss it.
“I have taken both vaccine doses but still being asked to get a negative RT-PCR report (to meet with the president).
Where do I get it (in a short time)? I am an outsider here.
I will have the chance to meet him later.
