Kolkata: The State Education Department has returned to plan to reopen educational institutions.
The State School Ministry of Education held an initial discussion with Nabanna officials on Friday regarding the possibility of reopening.
The state government made a decision to close all educational institutions from January 3 because of the Covid-19 surge.
After January 15, giving some relaxation to certain sectors such as gathering in wedding ceremonies, fitness centers, and other areas except for schools and colleges.
Recently, teacher organizations and different students have raised their voices to reopen school and college as early as possible.
Sources said the officials of the Department of School Education had sent notes to Nabanna to find out their opinions.
Maharashtra and several other states have decided to reopen school even from the main part.
Health experts have given their opinions to reopen educational institutions.
After getting some opinions from various sectors, the State School Department has returned to plan to reopen.
The state has extended restrictions until January 31, so within a week, the Ministry of Education wants to get ready.
Authorities felt that council students like Madhyamik, higher secondary and CCSE and CBSE need to get at least one physical class before their final exam starting from March.
“We have reopened school on November 16 and do all our pre-board and semesters’ exams in offline mode and almost everyone taking the exam.
I think it is very important for students to get used to the system and return to school,” said the Principal of Heritage Seema Sapru.
“We have to supervise the infection in the community.
Also, many students get the first dose and soon they will get the second dose.
So the government can consider these two elements and make decisions because students have lost a lot of education and judgment,” said South officials Point School.
The Council for the Indian school certificate exam has postponed the time limit for the practical submission of ISC practices until February 28 from January 31.
“We struggle a lot to do Viva’s exam in virtual mode and wait for the direction of the government to reschedule a practical exam,” said a principal.
The principal affiliated with the State Council felt there was a need to reopen the school when students suffer from a large learning gap.
