Kolkata: The Ministry of Higher Education has decided to digitize the study material produced by postgraduate and postgraduate faculty members from several universities throughout the state during a pandemic when the teacher shifts from traditional teaching modes to online teachings.
The study material to be collected from various universities will be scanned and studied and then uploaded on the West Bengal High Education Board website (WBSCHE) which will function as a reference material for students and teachers in the future.
Some universities began collecting research material from their teacher and did the first round of checks before continuing it to the board.
“In the last 22 months or more since the outbreak of pandemic, online class becomes the dominant teaching mode.
Teachers crossing universities in the state at UG and PG levels has worked very hard to produce simple but comprehensive records for students so that their learning is not hampered.
has created a large collection of e-content or material studies that need to be classified and regulated carefully before preserved so that it helps teachers and students in the coming years, “said a WBSCHE official.
Initially notes for trade, humanities and social sciences and language will be supervised and processed for digitalization purposes.
The college has been asked to form a screening committee that will scan the study material before handing it to the Board.
“The pandemic forces us to change our traditional teaching method and adopt newer ways.
Our teachers make a very clear record for students to maintain their attention and ensure that the absence of in-people does not have a negative impact on their learning.
We thwart it to be forwarded to the council, “said the principal from Central Kolkata College.
Schools, colleges and universities are closed on March 2020 after the Covid outbreak.
The Institute of Education was reopened in November last year but must be closed in a few weeks due to the third wave.
“We don’t know when colleges and universities will be reopened completely.
In such a scenario, this not-note will be very helpful for students who have just received an entrance ticket or will receive the entrance ticket in the next session,” said an official.
