Kolkata: Experts are ready with learning material for bridge courses prepared for class IX to XII in the State Council schools to be taught in a new session, starting from January.
The purpose of the bridge offer is to fill the learning gap for almost two years produced from the closure of the campus during the Covid pandemic.
Books for bridge courses for class IX and X-Nine for each class – will be ready at the end of this month and distributed before the next session.
Class XI and XII will get the HS exam after this.
Thirty-six books will be given to XI and XII.
Around Rs 100 Crore has been allocated for projects that will discuss around 43 Lakh students.
The research material will offer three months learning and will cover the main parts of the syllabus from previous years, which usually acts as a part that connects a different class curriculum.
Evaluation materials are also attached to every book and sumative test will be held on the things taught.
Bridges and foundations are two important parts of the new learning process.
Describing the process, said an official, students in class VIII before the pandemic will be promoted to class X in a new academic session in January 2022.
Bridge courses will revise the syllables of class VIII and IX briefly for them.
New learning material will work as a foundation of learning for subjects to be taught for the first time at a higher secondary level such as the economy, political science and statistics.
Hundreds of education students witnessed setbacks because of the closure of the campus in the last two years, mostly because most of them could not attend online classes.
Many of them do not have smart devices and for many people, a weak internet connection.
Department officials claimed despite various online programs, not all students will be contacted.
