Previously on Friday night Ghosh took his Twitter handle to question the utilization of RS 2,146 Crore from the International Bank for the reconstruction and development and Bank of Asian Infrastructure Investment in May World Bank signed an agreement to increase loans and flood management at Damodar Valley Command Area (DVCA ) In West Bengal.
This project tends to help the 3.9 lakh ha area with better irrigation and increased protection against annual floods.
This project estimates that at an average of 33,500 ha of areas trimmed and 4.6 lakh people in the lower Damodar basin are influenced by the annual flood.
The $ 413.8 million project intends to invest in steps to reduce flooding, including strengthening embankments and desilting.

Where has it been spent? People have not received compensation for Yaas.
The money they received was spent on the head in addition to flood control,” Ghosh said.
He alleged that Rs 225 Crore from the center of the Kapalewari River Project had not been utilized.
