WB: Inter-Faith couples were forced to leave the village, investigate

Romanhat: The newly married inter-faith pair must leave their village in Birbhum Regency West Bengal and take refuge in another place after being suspected of being threatened by the woman’s family.
The police on Sunday said they were investigating this problem.
The couple, both villagers in the Nalhati police station area, were married on June 25 after a love affair that lasted for years.
The husband claimed that the woman’s family refused to accept marriage and had threatened them since.
“They did not allow us to enter the village.
I wrote a letter to the Nalhati police station on July 13 but there was no help,” he thought.
The couple left their home and took refuge in a relative home in another village.
Meanwhile, the female father filed a complaint kidnapping towards his son-in-law.
Birbhum police supervisor, Nagendra Tripathi said, “We are investigating this problem.”
