Kolkata: The student credit card scheme launched by the Head of the Minister of Mamata Banerjee on June 30 has turned out to be a big success.
In the first nine days, more than 25,000 have submitted this scheme, including 5,899 students, who studied outside Bengal, have also submitted a credit card.
Thus, the number of loans for a total of 25,847 student applicants now Rs 1,355 Crore.
Students from class X and so on eligible to submit this card and they will get a credit limit of up to 10 lakh Hospital depending on their needs.
They don’t have to guarantee this loan because the Bengal Government will be a guarantee.
An official said that students can apply for this loan to buy a laptop and book and to pay for school fees and the cost of rising.
He said that until Friday, there were 16,384 male students who apply for loans, along with 9,461 female students.
The minister’s chairman has stated during the launch of the scheme that students from class X and so on can apply for loans and national banks and cooperative banks will provide loans for higher studies ranging from graduation, post graduation and PhD.
To pursue professional courses such as MBBS, BTECH, Law and even for Diploma courses to improve their expertise, students can apply for this loan for roles of 4%, and if paid in the study period, the interest rate will slide.
The official said that students must apply for a loan by considering the course of the class in the class currently being carried out.
“For future courses, he must apply for fresh credit after entering certain courses.
Students can register even to solve various competitive checks such as Neet, Jee and Civil Service,” he added.
However, he said that loans cannot be applied to the cost of the course paid to the institution.
