WB: More than lakh in 15-18 age groups attached to day 1

Kolkata: About one teenager lakh in the age group 15-18 years vaccinated in Bengal on Monday.
The numbers may rise with several private schools that launch drive vaccination on campus from Tuesday.
“On the first day, 1,02,837 doses were given,” said Ajay Chakraborty, Director of Health Services.
On Monday, the trip began in several private hospitals, KMC clinics, and 16 schools in Kolkata.
A virtual meeting was held on Monday where the senior state officer spoke to the principal of nearly 43 schools including many private schools affiliated with Cisce and the CBSE Board at the launch of vaccination on campus.
The state has determined the 200 daily target school, and if needed a large school will be used for all schools around it.
Class XI Sandipan Bhattacharyya students really hope that after vaccination he will be able to attend a physical class.
Madhubanti Bhowmik, a class X student, said, “I was very worried about infection, finally I was vaccinated.
Now school will be reopened.” Both came to the city school for their vaccination.
Even parents are quite relieved.
Sunita Majhi, the parents of class X students from the Gi-Rish Park area, “hopefully, after vaccination there will be no obstruction to continue the physical class.” 138 Students appear at Collegiate Bethune School.
Sakhawat Memorial has asked 100 students to come for vaccination on Monday, but plan to vaccinate 430 more for the next two days.
Rajendra Siksha Niketan near Jalan Anwar Shah allows students from three other schools to join the drive.
While some covaxin centers of KMC recording their other turns have very little takeover.
