Kolkata: The day after the CBI official began the probe into complaints of rape and murder after the declaration of the results of the assembly poll, the Central Investigation Agency surrendered the details of cases of violence and actions taken by police officers from various districts.
The CBI was feeed by the Calcutta High Court to investigate alleged instances of rape and murder.
The probe agency has been written to Bengal Bengal DGP Virendra looking for detailed cases, as directed by HC.
On Tuesday, police officers reached the CBI CBI complex office to submit the registered case documents in connection with the investigation.
The documents and complaints submitted by the state government in court show that 29 examples of deaths were reported to the police in connection with violence after the poll.
The CBI on Tuesday gave excavations of Akhilesh Kumar Singh additional costs from special crime branches.
Singh, who has so far treated the probe of Sting Narada’s operations and illegal coal mining cases in Bengal, will also be responsible for investigations for violence after the polls.
