Since the beginning of the morning, an intense storm spell with medium to heavy rainfall has continued in several parts of Kolkata and neighboring areas including the area around Kolkata airport.
Intensic rain caused a large waterlogging in Jessore Road outside the airport, a stretch of 1 kil square from Haldiram at VIP Road and Chinar Park on the main arterial road of the new city which slowed down traffic boundaries.
Vistara even quickly issued an advisor at 9.44 in the morning, warning passengers about the water situation outside the airport.
“#TravelUpdate: because of airlogging due to heavy rains in Kolkata, traffic congestion is expected.
The traveling customers are advised to provide more time for their trip to the airport.
