Kolkata: The West Bengal government is ready to launch the ‘credit card scheme’ for students in the state on Wednesday.
This scheme will be launched by the Head of Bengal Bengal Barat Mamata Banerjee.
The Manish Jain Higher Education Secretary on Tuesday wrote to DM that students can receive entrance tickets also for competitive checks using this credit card.
The following are details about student credit card schemes: * Useful for students who pursue higher studies and those who are willing to pursue professional courses by taking into various training institutions to solve competitive checks such as IIT Enter, Joint Door Door, NEET, CLAT Cat and civil entrance.
* Students can receive entrance tickets also for competitive checks using a credit card.
* Students can receive entrance tickets to foreign universities by using this card and pursue their chosen courses to PhD or post-doctoral levels.
* Credit cards will allow students to take advantage of guarantee free loans of up to 10 lakh at a very nominal simple interest rate with a 15-year payment period.
* This scheme includes education from the Madhyamic level to professional courses including doctor work and post-doctoral research in educational institutions recognized inside or outside India.
* Educational loans will cover various institutional and non-institutional costs.
