WB: The Board Exam will be held in Offline Mode

Kolkata: Examination of Western Bengal Boards for grade 10 and 12 will be held in offline mode in March and April next year after the Covid-19 safety protocol, senior board officials announced at a joint press conference on Monday.
In the departure of tradition, 12th grade students will write exams in their respective schools.
Bengal Board West Bengal (WBBSE) President Kalyanmoy Ganguly said ‘Madhyamik’, the 10th Standard Examination, will take place from 7 to 16 March at around 4800 venues.
‘Uchcha Madhyamik’, the 12th Standard Examination, will be held between 2 and 20 April, West Bengal Board of Higher Education (WBCHSE) of President Chiranjib Bhattacharya.
“Until now, we hope that the exam will be carried out in offline mode.
If there are changes in Covid situations, we will decide so.
We have plan B ready.
But, until now we will advance with the announced schedule,” said Bhattacharya to a question and Ganguly echoed him.
While the examination of ‘Uchha Madhyamik’ will be carried out in the ‘home center’, the school of each student, the ‘Madhyamik’ exam will be held as usual in other schools under WBBSE.
When the number of exam participants in grade 10 is far more than that in class 12, it is impossible for the authorities to conduct an exam after the Covid-19 safety guidelines, Ganguly said.
Asked whether a short time for students to prepare, President Wbchse said, “Maybe.
But we assume they might have made preparations that have consulted their teacher.” ‘Madhyamik’ and the ‘Uchha Madhyamik’ exam is not held in the state of this year because of the Covid-19 pandemic situation.
The results are stated after the board exercises the evaluation method based on the sign obtained by students in the previous examination.
