KOLKATA: A trawler capsized from the Haldi river from West Bengal’s Purba Medinipur district, murdering a fisherman, whereas three others were missing, an official said on Sunday.
The incident occurred on Saturday night nearby Nandigram whenever the trawler using 14 fishermen on board has been anchored in the mouth of a tube in which it matches the Haldi river,” he explained.
The sailors had stitched the trawler since they desired to have dinner before setting out for fishing,” he added.
The trawler toppled because of high tide, along with the sailors fell to the river.
Ten of these managed to float to safety or were rescued, while others went missing, ” the officer stated.
A body has been fished out at the wee hours of Sunday, ” he explained.
An investigation is underway for individuals lost, ” the official said.
