“We all have encouragement, but …”: Sonia at OPPN meets

New Delhi: Interim Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Friday called the opposition parties to plan Sabha’s selection systematically with a single-minded single goal to provide a country that believed in the constitutional values.
Given the virtual meeting of the opposition party, Sonia Gandhi emphasized unity and said there was no alternative to work in cohesively together.
In his opening speech at the meeting, Sonia Gandhi highlighted the determined union shown by all opposition parties for more than twenty days in parliament.
However, a larger political battle must be fought out outside the parliament, said the head of the congress.
“We all have our urge, but clearly, time has come when our nation’s interests demanded that we rise above them,” he said and added, “This is a challenge, but together we can and must go up there because there is no Alternatively to work cohesively together.
“” We function in a coordinated manner with everyday discussions among our floor leaders in parliament.
I am sure that this union will be maintained in a parliamentary session in the future too, “Sonia said.
The leader of 19 political parties attended the meeting.
Among the parties who took part in the meeting were TMC, NCP, DMK, Shiv Sena, JMM, CPI, CPI (M), NC, RJD, AIUDF, VCK, Loktantrik Janata Dal, JD, RLD, RSP, Kerala Congress ( Mani), PDP and IUML.
However, the Samajwadi Party, Aam Aadmi Party, and the party Bahujan Sajaj was not there.
