We are looking for all kinds of things to overcome Omicron: UK PM Johnson

LONDON: British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on Monday that he was looking at all kinds of things to keep the omicron variant under the control when the situation was very difficult, warning that further restrictions might be needed.
“I have to tell the British public, and I say to everyone, we will not exclude the possibility of going further if we have to do something to protect the public,” Johnson said after a cabinet meeting.
“We must order the possibility of taking further action to protect the public.” Asked about speculation that the government would ban the socialization and limits of tourism in the room, Johnson said: “I certainly can say we are looking at all kinds of things …
to make omicrons under control and we will decide anything,” Johnson said.
Johnson said the situation was “very difficult” and that hospitalization rose sharply in London.
