We are to hold the second rare lottery for VISA APPLICANTS H-1B

WASHINGTON: In what can be good news for hundreds of Indian IT professionals who are looking for H-1B work visas, the US immigration agent has decided to do a second rare lottery for the most sought-after visa to decide a successful applicant who could not make it in the first random selection , US citizenship and immigration services (USCIS) said on Thursday that decisions were taken after determining that the computerized lot draw results for the H-1B visa carried out earlier this year did not give them enough the number of H-1B visas mandated by Congress.
VISA H-1B, the most sought after among IT India professionals, is a non-immigrant visa that enables companies to employ foreign workers in special jobs that require theoretical or technical skills.
The H-1B visa has an annual numerical boundary of 65,000 visas every fiscal year as mandated by Congress.
20,000 First Petitions submitted in the name of the beneficiary with a US or higher master’s degree are released from the lid.
Technology companies depend on it to employ tens of thousands of employees every year from countries such as India and China.
“We recently decided that we need to choose additional registration to reach the fiscal year (FY) 2022 numerical allocation.
On July 28, we chose electronic registration which was previously sent using a random selection process,” said USCIS in a statement.
“The petition archiving period based on the registration chosen on July 28 will begin on August 2 and close on 3.
November with the selected registration will be updated myuscis account to include election notifications, which include details when and where to submit,” said , Moving by USCIS to do the second lottery will provide another opportunity to several applicants, including hundreds of Indian IT professionals, which cannot make it in the first random selection.
The Federal Agency said that only applicants with selected registration for FY 2022 were eligible to apply for closing-H-1B.
The initial archiving period for those who have registration chosen for TA 2022 comes from April 1, 2021, until June 30, 2021.
USCIS said the H-1B subject petition must be properly submitted in the correct service center and in the archiving period.

The applicant applied for Petition H-1B must do it with paper and must include a print copy of the registration selection notification that applies with the TA 2022 H-1B subject petition.
“Election of registration only shows that the applicant meets the requirements to apply for the H-1B hat subject; it does not indicate that the application will be approved,” said USCIS.
“The applicant applied for H-1B hats, including the qualified petition for the continued degree of exemption, must Still submitting evidence and establishing feasibility for petition approval that has legal and regulatory requirements, “added USCIS.
