“We can decide to open college after October 2 ‘

Mumbai: Deputy Chief of Minister Ajit Pawar on Thursday said the decision to reopen universities in the state phase can be taken after October 2 and schools after Diwali, depending on the Covid-19 situation in the state.
Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar also said on Thursday the decision to reopen the school in Mumbai will be taken after Diwali.
Pawar said that although the final decision would depend on the Covid-19 situation and also the suggestions made by the Task Force, the State will review the situation until October 2nd and after that the decision can be taken to reopen the college, especially for courses where students are aged Above 18 and has been fully vaccinated.
He said because there were no vaccines available for children, the decision to reopen the school must be taken carefully.
“Students who are above 18 will be vaccinated at that time and we have started vaccination for teaching and non-teaching staff in a big way.
We will take reviews about the situation on October 2, and if the situation is profitable, the decision to reopen universities Phase can be taken, “said pawar.
Currently schools and colleges are closed in most countries, except in the rural part of certain districts that are free of Covid for class VIII to XII.
According to the advice of the Covid Pediatric Task Force, each district must form a monitoring committee that will take a review of Covid19 cases and make a decision to open educational institutions.
The expert panel also suggests that schools must be opened first in areas with a low positive level and high vaccination coverage.
List of guides to ensure social distance and masking in schools have been given too.
