WASHINGTON: President Joe Biden signed law Thursday almost prohibiting all imports from China Xinjiang in response to concerns over forced labor, because US companies found themselves trapped in Fray Diplomatic.
The bill, which was approved by the Congress last week, banned the import of all goods from the region unless the company offered evidence that could be verified that production did not involve forced labor.

The law gives the government “new tools to prevent goods made with forced labor in Xinjiang from entering the US market and to further increase accountability for people and entities responsible for this violation,” said Secretary Antony Blinken in a statement, Call China to end “genocide and crime against humanity.” The law also requires the US President to impose sanctions on Chinese officials who are responsible for violations of human rights in the region.
Beijing on Friday slammed the action, accusing the United States “violating international law” and “evil shopping” of China.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry urged the United States to “immediately correct his mistake,” threatening “to make a further response,” in a statement.
An estimated 20 percent of clothing imported into the United States every year covers several cotton from Xinjiang.
Rights experts, witnesses and the US government said more than one million Uyghur and other Turkish Muslim Muslims were imprisoned in camps in an effort to eradicate their Islamic cultural traditions and forcibly assimilate them to the majority of Han China.
Washington has described a campaign as a genocide.
The Republican opposition has criticized the White House for slow movements about this problem.
On Thursday, the Secretary of the White Press Building Jen PSAKi was asked about the relative wisdom which with Biden signed the text, although it has made China as the main axis of its foreign policy.
The White House only released a photo signing on Twitter, while Biden signed a law – with a rolling camera – intended to support research on rare neurodegenerative diseases.
He signed the bill “Sometimes (and) sometimes on the camera.
We support the bill and clearly we have led efforts in the world to call human rights violations,” PSAKI said.
Washington has been about several Chinese officials and businesses with sanctions and announced diplomatic boycott from the Beijing Olympics in protesting conditions in Xinjiang.
Beijing described the site as a vocational training center and said it was trying to reduce the attractiveness of radical Islam following a deadly attack.
The implementation of laws and US attacks on certain Chinese economic interests causes friction for several companies, such as the US Semiconductor Giant Intel, which on Thursday issued an apology for the letter to its suppliers.
After the US bills travel in the Senate, the company has requested a supplier to avoid sources in the region.
After public protests in China, chip makers revealed their regret for comments in statements posted in Weibo, the Chinese social media platform.
“We believe the private sector and the international community must oppose the RRC weapons from its troops to hold back support for human rights,” PSAKI said, using an acronym for the People’s Republic of China.
“We also think that American companies should never feel the need to apologize for defending fundamental human rights or opposite repression,” he added.
