India, however, won a three-match series 2-1 because they had won the first two matches.

“Things don’t walk after the rain.
We have a good start but lost too much goal in the middle Overs.
Thinking of our 50 walked short,” Dhawan said at a post-match presentation.
Rain breaks at the end of the 23rd, which reduces the game to 47 overs per side, helps the home team.
Pitch suddenly has a little freshness and the ball will hold and slip, make life easier for Sri Lankan spinners, who shake the middle order.
Despite losing, Dhawan said he was happy with the way the players were fighting to the end.
3rd odi: Sri Lanka Avoid Whitewash against India “We are positive about defending the target but at the same time we know we are short.
I am happy with the way the children fight,” he said.
“I always analyze where I can improve and get better.” India plays five debutants in the game, the only example like the second in their ODI history.
“I’m glad they made a debut because everyone had been in quarantine for a long time,” Dhawan said.
“So we have that chance today after sealing the series.” Suryakumar series player Yadav said he had done the same for the past two years.
“I want to score a big goal in the last two matches but …
the atmosphere in the camp is really positive.
Really looking forward to the T20i series.” Captain Sri Lanka said his team was happy to win Odi at home after a long nine years.
“Congratulations to India for the victory series.
It is a very good series throughout.
Young children show a lot of maturity, both with bats and balls and that’s what I expect from them,” he said.
“This is a big victory for fans, they are waiting for years for this victory; we have won against India at home after some time.” The three-match T20 International Series will start from Sunday in the same place.
