The United Nations: UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres begged the international community, during an interview with AFP, to maintain a dialogue with the Taliban in Afghanistan, warning that “economic collapse” with millions of dying must be avoided.
“We must maintain dialogue with the Taliban, where we confirm our principles directly – dialogue with feelings of solidarity with Afghans,” he said.
“Our job is to expand our solidarity to people who suffer greatly, where millions and millions are at risk of dying because of starvation,” Guterres added.
