We were too hurt by losing Pakistan, that’s why I decided to retire: Asghar

Abu Dhabi: Afghan Afghan who said his tears said his decision to retire in the midst of the ongoing T20 World Cup was triggered by the pain that he and his teammate suffered losses that destroyed Afghan’s heart in their previous match.

“In the last match, and that was why I decided to retire,” Asghar, who had led Afghanistan at 115 matches, said he wiped his tears while chatting after the end of the first half.
“There are many memories, it’s difficult for me, but I have to retire.” The 33-year-old played six tests, 114 ODIS and 75 T20IS, including Namibia matches, in career that can be credited, scored 4246 running across the format.
“I want to give a chance to young people.
I think this is a good opportunity for it.
Most people ask me why now but it is something I can’t explain,” Afghanistan said, who scored 23 balls 31 on Sundays .
Afghanistan will play the next India on November 3 and New Zealand on November 7, the team played at the ICC event during the country itself in chaos after the Taliban takeover.
The future of Afghan cricket is also uncertain because of drastic changes in the political landscape.
The Taliban has banned women from playing games.
