Chennai: Chairman of the Minister of Nadu Tamil M St Stalin on Friday said “We will follow the” principle of social reformer ‘Periyar’ e V Ramasamy to form a balanced community.
The state government stated the birthday of the birth of Periyar as a ‘social justice day.’ Periyar sowed the seeds of social justice among all parts of society, including the judiciary, legislature and parliamentarians, Stalin said in a statement.
CM leads the government in paying a flower tribute to the leader and takes an appointment at the secretariat.
Minister, MPS, Secretary of Head, senior bureaucrats and government officials also took a promise to follow the principles of social justice.
“We offered our respect when his birth helped Tamil grow as a respectable and knowledgeable society,” Stalin said, which made the announcement on September 6 under the rule of 110 in the State Assembly that the government would celebrate the birthday of the Periyar Birth every year.

“We will form a balanced community by following your social justice pathway (Periyar),” CM said.
Stalin and his colleagues have also paid a flower tribute to the Periyar statue at Anna Saai before that day.
They also took an appointment at the party’s headquarters Anna Arvalalayam along with senior officials and cadres.
Former CM and coordinator with AIDMK Edappadi K Palaniswami and senior party leader C Ponnayan, D Jayakumar and S Valanmathi paid a tribute to the Periyar portraits placed near the statue at Anna Silai.
Former CM and Coordinator AIADMK O Panneerselvam posted messages on social media, calling periyar and its contribution to the public, in honor of social reformers.
Vaiko MDMK leader, and the leaders of the Communist parties have also paid their tribute to social reformers in different places.
PMK Leader Samadoss, Ammk Leader T V Dhinakan, MNM leader Kamal Hajasan and leaders of various political parties have also paid their tribute to Periyar on the birthday of the 143rd birth.
The leader of VCK Tholl Thirumavalavan gave tribute to Patiyar Statue on Anna Silai and took the promise of social justice along with the party functionaries.
The Chairman of the Minister of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan was brought to social media and gave respect to social reformers.
Vijayan tweeted in Tamil.
