Weather change aids ride in virus fever, flu & confusion

Bhubaneswar: Cloudy sky, drizzle, cold wind, solid fog and the temperature on the past few days has brought the increase in virus fever cases and flu-like symptoms among people.
Doctors say because of fluctuations in temperature and weather conditions, cases of virus fever and flu symptoms increase, which may or may not be covid infection.
Many children also suffer from viral fever, cough and cold but most parents avoid covid tests.
“Two weeks back, my daughter suffered a cold fever, cough and virus.
He recovered after suffering for five days.
He again suffered high fever and cough with the body and headache from Sunday,” said Meena Mishra, parents.
“Most People choose self treatment without going for Covid-19 tests.
Those who come to the hospital or consult with us, we advise them to take the test.
Because the symptoms linger for a longer period in some patients, we doubt it might be a sign Omicron variant.
People may not consider it mild, “said Dr.
ManooLanjan Mallik, a drug specialist at KimS Hospital.
People say they are confused because some doctors say they have to test Covid, while others say there is no need for it.
“We are really confused.
Government health workers make different statements regarding Covid tests.
A few days ago they said that no need to test whether you have symptoms such as coughing, cold and fever.
Then they say they are with symptoms having to go for covid tests, “Said Sasmita Dash, a resident of Jagannath Nagar.
Four of his families suffer from fever, body pain and dry cough.
“Covid tests are advised to check the spread of further viruses.
In addition, they should not go for your own treatment and consult a doctor,” said Dr.
Neeraj Mishra, a senior doctor.
