Weather change, temperature fluctuations bring diseases such as flu

Nagpur: Sudden weather changes and temperature increases, unusual in November, have made coughing, cold and diseases such as flu more often in the past two weeks in the city.
General practitioners see more patients with symptoms of sore throat, cold, and fever.
These symptoms are similar to Covid-19.
It also includes many people who have taken both vaccine doses.
According to experts, seasonal coughs and colds are common and may not be misunderstood as Covid-19.
However, going for Covid-19 tests is not a bad idea.
“Patients of all age groups come with complaints such as fever, sore throat, coughing, cold, sneeze etc.
We ask about their covid vaccination status first.
If the symptoms survive even though general drugs, I suggest some of them to test covid , “said Dr.
Pragati Kamble, a general practitioner from Manewada.
However, people are reluctant to undergo testing, said many doctors.
“People ask for generic medicines and care.
The majority of them believe that one or two doses of vaccines have given them full protection of infection.
Second, house isolation is still not permitted in Nagpur.
So, people don’t want to spend days at the hospital , “said Dr.
Vishal Joshi.
Experts told TII that this vaccine offered almost 100% protection from serious illness and hospitalization and oxygen demand.
But, it’s not a guarantee of protection from infection.
“Some 5-10 patients are detected every day in the district for the past week.
This means at least 50 people infected.
Because they have vaccine protection, they do not develop symptoms or must experience very low symptoms,” said senior member of the Covid task arrangement.
According to an infectious disease specialist Dr.
Nitin Shinde, a non-covid cough, cold and fever, which is being experienced by many people today, is very contagious.
“Hundreds of people develop these symptoms every day.
This happens not only in Nagpur but everywhere.
There is nothing wrong in the test if your doctor suggests,” he said.
The doctor said that it was a win-win situation if someone tested negatively.
In terms of positive testing despite vaccination, symptomatic treatments will heal most patients.
An official from the Ministry of Health said they did the best level to ensure the search for contacts and randomized testing in Nagpur, but still the number of tests dropped.
“If the people go forward to test as they used before in July-August, it will actually reduce the level of peposititivity.
We can also detect many asymptomatic cases,” he said.
Testing is a good Covid-19 testing facility still available in all NMC centers Many private laboratories provide covid testing at low prices now if you have symptoms and doctors you suggest, making yourself tested even vaccinated individuals can be tested on developing infected symptoms , but their disease will not change seriously on negative testing, the right treatment can be planned in seasonal flu
