Mumbai: IMD has issued a vigilant heavy rain for Mumbai, Thane and Palghar until Tuesday.
The yellow warning (heavy to very heavy rain in isolated places) was released for Mumbai for September 13-14, for Thane and Palghar there was an orange warning (heavy to very heavy rain in isolated places very possible).
The impact can include adjacent local puddles and urban areas, road disorders, trains, air and ferry transportation and removing weak trees, and the collapse of the old structure and not chiming.
On Sunday there was a short spell of intense rain, with IMD Colaba Recording 8.4mm and IMD Santacruz 8.8mm in nine hours ended 5.30pm.

on Sunday IMD Colaba and Santacruz each recorded 29.4mm and 21.2mm.
IMD said the increase in rain in the city and adjoining areas was caused by a low pressure area which was well marked in the northwest and adjacing the Bay of West Central Bengal.
“It is very possible to move the west-northwest and concentrate into depression at Northwest Bay of Bengal and bring the areas closer to the North West Bengal Beach for the next 12 hours.
It’s likely to move northwest in North Odisha and North Chhattisgarh For 2-3 the next day, “said IMD, adding that active rainfall is likely to continue for 3-4 days.
Meanwhile, the total stock in the lake supplies city water needs to be touched by 96.63%.
The total shares reached 13.98 lakh million liters.
