Thiruvananthapuram: K K Sarasamma, 76, has taught ‘Akshara Sloka’ for the past 21 years.
He now has around 130 students under his supervision.
Some children are also on the waiting list.
According to him, even those who leave this field are now back to take classes for students.
He is part of Kavyakeli’s collective Aksharasloka who has maintained a wealth of language among the younger generation.
Aksharasloga Kavyakeli is an organization formed by a leading personality in this field from around Kerala.
As part of organizational activities, they have now decided to do Malayalam online reading competition.
Competition will focus on school and college students who are among the sixth and 25-age groups.
The members expect a number of participants above 300.
“Love against Malayalam language appears as a new trend among students.
A number of students are waiting to join the class.
Because of limitations, I can’t put it in class.
They began to join classes because parents were not satisfied with Malayalam literature education provided by the school.
This course will definitely help children begin to love mother tongue and this will also improve Their knowledge in Malayalam literature, “said KK Sarasaramma, president of the organization.
Saketh Shankar, 7, argues that the classes have helped him learn Malayalam easily.
He has attended the Akshara Sloka class for a year.
“Malayalam online reading competition aims to promote a new generation to Malayalam literature field.
The target person is a student.
Entertainment programs that will be under literature and science will help children form their character,” said a member.
