Jaipur: Rajasthan High Court on Wednesday issued a notification to the Primary Secretary and Secretary, Ministry of Women and the Development of Children, the recent change center for the Mandatory Marriage Registration Bill 2021.
Judge Bench Division Sabina issued an order in the Thakuriya Prakash Pill.
The next hearing date is on November 22 the Petitioner said the new amendment on the bill was a violation of the basic rights of the girl and the encouragement for the marriage of a child who was contrary to the 1929 child’s wedding restricted law and the ban on the 2006 child marriage law.
The petition said, Rajasthan was mandatory Marriage registration (amendment), 2021 under clause 4 (a) where respondents have been amended that if a boy under the age of 21 and girls under the age of 18 enter their marriage parents or guardians must register a marriage before applicants who are competent within 30 days from the date of marriage.
It argues that the amendment above is a violation of the constitution and various laws which thus provide a maturity for women and men to get married.
