Weekend Curbs: BMTC Bus is only for important services

Bengaluru: Given the curfew, BMTC and Namma Metro will operate only limited services on Saturdays and Sundays.
Weekend hours starting from Friday 10 nights to Monday 5 in the morning.
BMTC officials said services to the public would be suspended during the weekend.
However, BMTC will operate a framework service for personnel involved in important services during these days.
VAJRA AC airport service will also be operated at a lower frequency.
BMTC will operate 10% important services in the city, excluding detention zones, between 6am to 10 nights.
“Passengers without facial masks are not allowed to travel.
They will maintain social distance while riding the bus / lower the bus and follow the queue system.
If all seats are occupied on the bus, they will not take the bus and wait for the next.
Those who suffer from fever and other diseases must be refrain from traveling, “he said.
Meanwhile, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL) will operate its service from 8am to 21:00 for the weekend at a frequency of 20 minutes.
“On weekends, Metro services will begin at 8 am from the terminal station (Nagasandra, Silk Institute, Kengeri and Byappanahalli) and will operate until 9pm.
The last service will be 21:00 from the terminal station,” Liberation said.
On weekdays (Monday to Thursday), services will be available as usual starting at 5am to 11 nights of the terminal with a reduced frequency for the past hour.
However, on Friday, the train service will be closed one hour early (10pm) instead of 11:00.
Meanwhile, KSRTC has decided to operate on request during the weekend.
Passengers traveling to Karnataka from Kerala, Maharashtra and Goa must bring RT-PCR negative reports regardless of vaccination status.
