WEF to hold the Davos online agenda summit next week; Address PM Modi on Monday

New Delhi / Geneva: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will handle the Davos Summit online agenda from the World Economic Forum on the first day of the five-day event starting January 17, joining a number of other global leaders who will share their vision for 2022 world countries.
While the WEF must postpone his physical annual meeting in Ski Ski Resort Davos because the Pandemic Coronavirus, it will host the ‘Davos Agenda’ summit digitally for the second year in a row in the week scheduled for the event.
It hopes to hold an annual meeting of 2022 later this year.
Announced a schedule, the WEF said ‘Davos Agenda 2022’ will be the first global platform for the main world leaders to share their vision for 2022 and are being held on the theme of ‘World State’.
The head of state and the government will join CEOs and other leaders for dialogue for a week-virtual about critical collective challenges and how to overcome them, while this dialogue will become a stepping stone to an annual meeting in Davos, scheduled for the beginning of summer.
In addition to Modi, world leaders convey the special address of ‘world state’ will cover Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio, Secretary General of the United Nations, European Commission President Ursula Von Der Leyen, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, Indonesian President Joko Widodo, Israeli Prime Minister of Israeli Bennett , US Finance Secretary Janet L Yellen, and Vice President of Nigeria Yemi Osinbajo.
Geneva-based WEF, which described itself as an international organization for public-private cooperation, said that different radical pandemic experiences had worsened the global division, while vaccine injustice, combined with new strains, has also slowed the recovery of the international economy.
However, Covid-19 is just one of the critical global challenges that might be unmanched unless the world leaders prioritize proactive collaboration and therefore the agenda of Davos will focus on driving joint actions among the main global stakeholders, he added.
Klaus Schwab, Founder and Chief Executive World Economic Forum, said, “Everyone hopes that in 2022 Pandemic Covid-19, and the accompanying crisis will eventually begin to recede.
But the main global challenge is waiting for us, from climate change.

The DAVOS 2022 agenda is the starting point for the dialogue needed for global cooperation in 2022.
“Through a special address and panel with G20 economic leaders and international organizations, the agenda of Davos 2022 will provide important insights into various critical challenges.
Participants will hear directly How these leaders will encourage actions in this area and others, Wef said.
The Summit will also mobilize government and business leaders, international organizations and civil society to share their views, insights and plans related to the most urgent global issues such as climate change, social contracts and vaccine equities.
These sessions will also provide a platform for a broader connection, enabling the global public to be involved and included in the conversation.
World leaders are expected to attend the event including the Director General of Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Imfeading Director of the IMF Crystalina G Eorgieva, a special president’s envoy for John John F Kerry’s climate, European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde and WTO General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweal.
The DAVOS 2022 agenda will also mark the launch of several WEF initiatives to accelerate the race to zero emissions, economic opportunities for natural-positive solutions and cyber endurance.
Other launches in various critical topics will also take place between January 17-21 and this includes strengthening global value chain resilience, building economies in the fragile market through humanitarian investment, bridging the gap in making vaccines to prepare the next pandemic.
