Welcome to the new year with the hope of Pandemi will be endemic in 2022: experts

Nagpur: With all of us welcoming the new year today, Covid-19 also enters a new wave in most countries, including Vidarbha.
For the first time since mid-August, the Vidarbha region reported 100+ new cases on December 31.
Sudden surge in new cases is caused by the local spread of the omicron variant which highly transplants.
While they are still awaiting official confirmation of local deployment, the doctor has begun to prepare the third wave.
“Omicron has reached, I will say it before the arrival of time,” said the infectious disease specialist Dr.
Nitin Shinde.
“Community transmission has begun.
I think, how to work in other countries, waves will end on February 10,” he added.
According to him, cases will increase at lightning speed and then fall quickly after reaching the peak.
“Mandatory isolation from mild symptomatic patients in the hospital when they stop infective wrong.
Second, too many limits including night hours are also ineffective now,” he added.
South Africa, where this variant was first recorded, has lowered the limitations even though Omicron dominated all infections there.
This is because the number of patients who need hospitalization, or acceptance of ICU and O2 are very less than Delta waves.
Dr.
P P Joshi from the Department of Medical AIIMS Nagpur, who is also a member of the Nagpur Covid Task Force, said that we must learn to live with a virus in the new year.
“Bay, be careful and enjoy your life by following social distance, masking, and sanititis,” he said.
Intensive care specialists say that no need to panic in the new year.
“The cases are more but they are mild or mostly without symptoms.
Vaccination helps patients fight viruses.
I think, very few patients need hospitalization this time,” said Dr.
Vijay Thakre, general practitioner.
Experts also mention the decision of children’s vaccination and booster to the elders as a timely step.
“Including a population that is not vaccinated with at least one dose of a single vaccine will be achieved by vaccination of children.
In addition, the dose of booster will ensure additional protection to the co-morbid elders.
On the one hand, this will take us towards herd immunity,” said Pediatrician Dr.
Arpita Mehar.
