Kolkata: The negligence reported from 9.5 lakh farmers from Bengal from the PM-Kisan scheme had pushed Bengal to write to the center that questioned the move.
State Minister of Agriculture Sobhandebee Chatterjee said, “We have written to the center to express our concerns over this issue.
Because of the central mistake, Bengal farmers are deprived.
We want Bengal farmers should not suffer only for some of the central technical errors.” The PM scheme gives income support Farmers amounting to Rs 6,000 per year in the same three installments.
The funds are immediately transferred to a bank account from the beneficiaries.
There is nothing in Bengal who accepts this until now because of the state’s deadlock over this problem.
In May, PM had released an installment of the eighth quarterly scheme.
A Nabanna official said that the names of 44.8 farmers were sent, where 9.5 lakh names were not included.
Data from these people must be corrected to make them qualify for the scheme of the pemiscent.
The official added that from the Bengal of around 68 farmers Lakh tended to benefit PM-Kisan if the name was recorded properly.
He said so far the 24.3 names of farmers from Bengal have been received.
“However, until 9.5 lakh farmers data are repaired by farmers will not benefit PM-Kisan,” he added.
In Bengal, around 62 lakh farmers benefit from the Krishak Bandhu scheme, which has been upgraded from Rs 5,000 to RS 10,000 recently.
CM Mamata Banerjee previously said all Bengal farmers were covered in the Krishak Bandhu scheme, while at PM-Kisan all farmers were not included.
CM has written to the prime minister immediately after taking an oath at the beginning possible regarding the scheme of PM-Kisan for the release of funds from the Ministry of Agriculture to farmers who qualified.
