New Delhi: Minister of Bengal Bengal Barat Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence.
This is the first meeting of Mamata with Prime Minister after assembling the victory polling in Bengal.
During the meeting, Mamata raised the Covid-19 problem and the need for more vaccines in Bengal.
“It was a courtesy meeting with PM today.
During the meeting, I raised the Covid problem and needed more vaccines, medicines in the state.
I also raised a delayed problem of changing state names,” said Mamata.
He also demanded a probe monitored by the Supreme Court at Row Pegasus after meeting the Prime Minister.
“PM must call a meeting of all parties about Pegasus’s problems.
There should be an investigation of the Supreme Court in this matter,” he said.
Responding to questions about the opposition association of the powerful NDA, he said he would form himself.
Previously today, the Trinamool Supremo Congress met with Congress leaders Kamal Nath and Anand Sharma.
After the meeting, Kamal Nath said they did not discuss any strategy and he only congratulated his victory in Bengal elections.
“We have not discussed any strategy.
It will be discussed by our party leader.
We have just discussed the current situation and the problem of price increases,” said Nath.
Mamata will also meet with other Congress leaders and MP Rajya Sabha Abhishek Singhvi at night.
He is also scheduled to meet with the Interim president of Sonia Gandhi Congress tomorrow.
Supremo TMC, who seemed to strive to take a larger role in national politics before the Sabha 2024 selection, was visiting Delhi for the first time after leading his party in power in West Bengal for the third time.
