Kolkata: The state government on Saturday enables coaching centers for competitive examinations to open with a capacity of 50% from September 1.
All other covid restrictions, including restrictions on travel between 11pm and 5 in the morning and suspension of suburban train services, continues last until September.

While schools, colleges and training centers have served online, there has been a request to reopen the coach class for competitive exams so that students who aspire to learn engineering and medicine can get personal attention and prepare better entrance tests.
Many students struggle with their preparation for Jee Main, Neet and Clat.
“There are obstacles in online learning, including cleaning difficult concepts.
Unless they get the desired assistance, they will be left behind by students from other countries.
As a fair part of the population is now vaccinated, we can allow students to access the coaching center, with the norm -Norma covid in place, “said a senior state official.
Fiitjee Kolkata Head Debeeep Banerjee welcomed the decision.
“We need to build some infrastructure rummals.
While 50% of students will be allowed to attend the physical class, the rest can attend the same class virtually.
We are planning hybrid mode,” he said.
Akash Institute Chief Marketing Officer Sudipto Chowdhury said, “We are happy that students can return to class.
After Covid is under control, it is a welcome decision that at least 50% of students can attend physical classes,” he said.
