West Bengal: College plans to call students in phase

Kolkata: Authorities in several universities and universities have scheduled meetings on Tuesday with senior professors and administrative staff to discuss the reopening procedure and start preparation.

At St Xavier’s College, the principal of Pastor Dominic Savio has held a meeting to discuss the reopening modality.
“This is a very good step by the government and we are ready to reopen and welcome our students.
Because our students come from various parts of the country, we need to give them time to prepare and move to Kolkata, so we will be reopened in a way that is Staggered.
The details will be discussed at the meeting on Tuesday, “said Savio’s father.
Most of the colleges and other universities have also decided to reopen in staggering ways.
“We will soon hold meetings with all stakeholders and discuss how to reopen giving priorities to different groups of students,” said an official of the University Presidency.
The authorities must ensure that all Covid safety guidelines are followed on campus.
There must be provisions for some kind of assistance on campus if health emergencies appear.
The University of Jadavpur has a health center on campus where doctors are present based on rotation.
Before being reopened last November, Scottish Church College has formed Covid cells where teachers and health professionals are available to answer student questions.
“We already have resources to follow all the safety rules.
We will overcome better details in the next few days before reopening,” said Subhasis Dutta, Principal of Maulana Azad College.
The campus has been closed since March 2020 since the plague of pandemic.
Efforts made twice to continue teaching directly but the authorities must be closed again because of the second wave at the beginning of 2021 and the third wave in January.
Some student organizations and teachers have urged the government to review their decisions and reopened in a staggering way, the student community in the city was excited after the announcement was reopened on Monday.
“I will visit my campus for the first time and when my batch is called to campus for class.
I received a ticket in 2020 and has been almost two years since we depend on online class.
