West Bengal: Experts attract comfort from Covid statistics

Kolkata: Even though there was a fear of a sharp surge in Covid numbers for two weeks after the Puja, hospitals throughout the country have seen a slight decline in covid bed residence for the past few days or the number of reception remains less or less changed.
Health experts say while such trends are a positive sign, we need to observe it for a longer period and without dropping guards during Diwali.
After a large surge in the second wave which caused the crisis of the main hospital bed, the number of Covid patients began to decline after the state imposed a strict sidewalk.
Numbers in most Kolkata hospitals drop to less than 15, even for one digit in early August and September.
But cases began to rise again before pujas with markets and malls were crowded with buyers.
“The number of patients who need hospital admissions increased gradually and have shot up to 36/37 a week ago.
But we see a little panties in the past few days.
At present we have around 22 patients,” said CEO of Peerless Hospital Sudipta partner.
Labs also see a little panties in front of the level.
Of about 4%, many laboratories have begun reporting higher participants ranging from 6% and 10% after the festival.
“Bed housing has dropped a little along with the level of front in our hospital,” said R Venkatesh, regional director (east) Narayana Health.
Some hospitals have decided to stick to the strength of Covid’s bed at this time until at least two weeks post-diwali.
“Post-Puja, we have around 12 patients every day (Operation).
“Bed housing remained stagnant with us for the past few days.
Even with the situation under control, we maintain a close watch and our facilities are prepared,” said Pradip Tondon, CEO, Belle Vue Clinic.
Health experts quote vaccinations as reasons to put this and also the possibility of the lack of new tension.
“We have been afraid of new strain planting because crowding that is reckless during pujas that can be a disaster.
But with more patients now asymptimmatics, we hope to move towards herd’s immunity,” said partner.
