Malda / Murshidabad: The three top positions of the high madrasah exam have been digongly by four girls this year, the peak of class X becomes a resident of Malda and three others from Murshidabad.
The West Bengal Bengal Board of Madrasah Education (WBBME), which states the results of the high Madrasah exam, Alim and Fazil on Friday, is upbeat about a sharp increase of 65% in the number of girls taking class X exams.
The girls have also done better than boys, officials said.
“We have not published a list of achievements this year.
It is not possible to share the ranking but what is significant is a very high percentage of girls who try alim, Fazil and high madrasah this year,” said Abu Taher Kamruddin, President of Wbbme.
He added: “A total of 74,267 students emerged for high madrasas, Alim and Fazil this year, registering candidates 15% more than last year.
The dropout rate has fallen significantly.” Sadia Siddika, a student at the High Madrasah Naymouza in Malda, has Toping the highest examination, scored 797 of 800.
The daughter of an elementary school teacher, Siddika wanted to learn medicine after class XII.
“I have never thought of being the peak in the state, but I am sure of good results.
I always want to be a doctor and I will continue to prepare for it,” Siddika said.
Anisha Sultana and Rashida Khatun from Murshidabad, both of them have secured second place, hoping to learn medicine.
A student of Murshidabad’s Debkunda High Madrasah, Anisha has scored 796 and so Rashida, who lives in the school dormitory.
Anisha, the daughter of the grocery store in Beldanga, wants to learn medicine.
Rashida, residents of Bhagabangola, also want to pursue a career in medicine.
The third wank was digongi by Sharifa Khatun, the daughter of a Mason in Jangipur, who secured 795.
A Muniria High Madrasah student in Jangipur, Khatun said he wanted to learn the literature.
“I have got enough signs to choose science, but I want to learn English literature.
I always want to be a teacher,” Khatun said.
