Kolkata: Kaseload Covid-19 West Bengal increased to 19,93,606 on Sunday after 3,427 more people were tested positive for viruses, 85 less than the previous day’s number, the health department said in a bulletin.
The country recorded 33 fresh Koronavirus fatality that encouraged the death toll to 20,583.
On Saturday, the number of cases and new deaths respectively 3,512 and 35.
From new deaths, eight recorded from Kolkata, followed by six in 24 North Pargrading, five in Howrah and four in the Hooghly district, said the bulletin.
It was said that 521 new Covid infections were reported from Kolkata and 373 of 24 districts 24 parganas.
The number of active cases is 31,562 to 6,356 from the previous day.
The level of participation rose by 6 percent, from 5.65 percent 24 hours again.
The state tested 57,085 samples for Coronavirus took the total number of clinical examinations to 2.32 crores.
Overall, 9,750 patients were dismissed from health facilities during the day, taking the total recovery to 19.41,461.
The recovery rate between Coronavirus patients was 97.38 percent and the mortality rate was 1.03 percent, said the bulletin.
